Searching for freebies, free stuff, and free samples online is a fun leisure activity for many people. I’ve been doing it for over 13 years! I like trying new products and receiving packages every week. If you’re new to freebie hunting there are some things that you can do to make your searching simpler and more successful.

First of all you should set up at least one email address dedicated just to free offers. If you don’t do this you will end up with a lot of spam and newsletters that will clutter your inbox. To maximize most freebie and free sample offers I have multiple email addresses because some offers are available one per email address, not household address. By having more than one address you can receive the same offer two or three times. Simply set up a separate email account for each person in your household.

In order to receive your freebies and free samples you will have to submit your name and information for each offer. You can do this quickly with the help of the Google form filler found on the Google Toolbar or you can download a program such as Roboform for one-click convenience.

Another handy item to have is a calendar. I like to use the Google calendar but you can use a desk calendar instead if that is simpler for you. Some magazines offer fantastic full size products for free at the beginning of each month. You can add a quick reminder to your calender so that you don’t forget he days. Websites some time list a start time for a specific day a free product will be offered. Believe me, they go quick so you don’t want to forget. You’ll be very pleased you had your calendar to remind you when you receive your freebies in the mail.

Some freebies are intended for specific types of business’s or people such as teachers or business owners. Many people fall into these categories but do not have an email to reflect it, for example, a home-school teacher or a person that owns a business but doesn’t own a website. You can set up a customized email address at mail.com that looks much more professional. You can choose fro options including @ teachers.org, @ representatives.com or even @ graphic-designer.com. There are over 30 different choices so you can easily obtain an email address that suites your profession.

I also find it useful to have a virtual voice mail box. Many of the freebies that you find will require a working phone number. It is simple to set up a free account at sites such as evoice.com or efax.com. All of the messages that are left in your voice mail box will be sent to you as an email or you can call your number and listen to the messages if you like. By setting up a virtual voice mail you can avoid any telemarketers and sales people that might call you.

Applying the thoughts you’ve read about here to your freebie searching efforts will prove to be extremely helpful. You will receive more free samples and freebies with multiple email addresses and no more junk in your inbox. Remembering dates and times will ensure you never forget a free giveaway if you keep you calendar marked and a customizable email address and virtual voice mail will improve your chances o receiving a broader range of free samples, freebies and free stuff available online.
