I have aTube downloader which is afree program…and it downloads and converts to any video file, all of youtube videos…

I use Miro (getmiro.c0m) instead of Realplayer, and I have a program called “Video Piggy” (about $25) which downloads Youtube vids and converts virtually all video files (FLV, MOV, MPG, AVI, WMV, etc.) on one’s hard-drive from any format to any other.

A lot of this stuff will work with Mac! Might need to convert from AVI to Quick, though. Some of the lops and effects are also available in Quick and MOV, just check and see.
